WETA is launching the Better Boundary Street campaign to look at ways businesses and the local community can work together to improve West End’s main trading area and build a stronger economy for locals and visitors.
Over the next few months, WETA will be working with its members, the community, and local and State Government representatives to focus on the priority issues of community safety; connectivity and access; and parking.
WETA recently commissioned urban planning consultants Urbis to undertake an independent CPTED (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design) audit of the precinct. You can download a copy of the report here.
In May 2019 we wrote to Jonathan Sri, Councillor for the Gabba Ward, calling on him to act immediately on the CPTED report. You can see this letter here.
